    Ms. Kiah Thorpe represented me as a listing/seller's agent in 2022. Unlike all the positive experiences of her buyers, my experience was traumatic. I will preface this by saying that over the years, I have dealt with (2) other listing/seller's agents and (2) buyer's agents in addition to this without incident. I held back posting this until now for the reasons described at the end of my review. My experience: As my agent, Ms. Kiah-Thorpe manipulated and renegotiated the terms of the 'AS-IS SALE' of my home to the benefit of the buyer multiple times throughout the seller's contract. There was no advocacy on my behalf at any point which would cost me additional money toward the buyer's benefit. When asked, she failed to provide me a list of chosen contractors and scope of work to be done at the buyer's expense (it was an 'AS-IS SALE') prior to closing. Soon after, I discovered she was not present, nor did she notify me when the buyer had a contractor break up blocks of sidewalk without a permit issued by the borough. I found out by my tenant's phone call after a violation order was placed on my front door. When called her immediately, I was told by agent Kiah-Thorpe that any liability fell on my homeowners insurance. There was no written corrective proposal agreement and/or addendum ever created or given to myself, or the buyer to sign and to protect us BOTH. I was told repeatedly throughout the process that "This is standard procedure" Despite us signing an addendum agreeing to the lenders criteria of limiting my seller's assist to only 2% of the sale, I was instructed by this agent to bring a Cashier's check for $700 to gift the buyer UNDER the table at closing to make up the difference of the original amount. When I refused, she then asked me to lower the price of my home by $700 OR give $700 towards the buyer's repairs on the AS-IS SALE'. Again, I was told that this was 'standard procedure.' Ms. Kiah-Thorpe omitted important information in the AS-IS clause that created a loophole which ultimately resulted in the buyer suing me. The home did not go to closing due to failure to close on time by the buyer's lender and underwriting. She took no responsibility for the shoddy contract that created the loophole. I chose to no longer be bullied into signing another addendum (to benefit the buyer and herself): This time, to extend the contract for allow additional time for closingโ€--7-10 days. Again, no advocacy offered: my tenants had moved-out, and I would lose revenue on a vacant house. Because of my refusal to sign, Ms. Kiah Thorpe lied to her broker and the buyer by saying the due diligence was my responsibility, that I was fully aware that I needed to make repairs on an 'AS-IS SALE', and that I should have read my contract. She maligned me to the buyer and her broker to save herself/reputation. She closed with informing me to secure a real estate attorney because the seller was going to sue me for breached sellers contract and she was suing me for her commission. The best part of all is: She won. The contract wording covered her to include her commission if there was a 'willing a capable buyer' at any time during the sale. I opted not to counter sue (Although I had grounds via legal counsel). At the time, the MAIN reason I did not: I was emotionally devastated because I took this very hard. I KNEW THIS WOMAN PERSONALLY FOR 20 YEARS. She even took care of my daughter as a toddler. I should have followed the premise of NEVER mixing business with friendship! But...everything happens for a GREAT reason. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ Instead, I gave it to a higher power (God) to intervene because He/She sees all. I allowed myself time to heal.     My review (missphilly2nc) PREVIOUS POST--PART 2 PEARLS OF WISDOM when dealing with this (or ANY) realtor: 1) Read your contract with a fine-tooth comb. And re-read! 2) Don't feel pressured to venture beyond your comfort zone because she has a very 'persuasive', sweet and firm demeanor. 3) Don't be afraid to ask questions (even the annoying and frustrating ones). Persist and expect your answers in a timely way. 4) Seek a 2nd opinion and/or ALWAYS do your due diligence.     Can't say enough about my wonderful experience. It was like having your best friend as your Realtor. My husband and I started looking at houses in early December 2021. Jazmine made the home buying process soo easy. She was there whenever I had a question or just needed some reassurance. Our very first offer was accepted! Closing was a breeze. Would definitely recommend her services to anyone.

    Working with Jazmine was like working with a sister I never had. Jazmine walk me through the process she was there for me donโ€™t matter what time of the day it was she answered all my questions. I had a wonderful experience with Jazmine she made my first-time home buying process so easy.She was very understanding, she cares about her clients she is honest.I knew I was in good hands through my whole experience with Jazmine. I truly recommend Jazmine as a realtor to friends and family and I will be going back to Jazmine to buy my next house.

    She's very professional and outgoing. If you need a realtor that works 7 days a week 24 /7 well that's your girl. If have any questions with anything or just the process she's always there willing to answer those questions you may have. I didn't know the process of buying a house but she was right there with me every step of the way telling me process and how things work. I couldn't ask for a better realtor she was outstanding in all areas. Great job. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is thinking about buying a house.
