Working with Dayhna was a pleasure. Dayhna was very patient and knowledgeable when focusing on our wants and needs. Dayhna was informative with every step and remained optimistic through the process, even when things weren't looking great! Odara was my landlord from Dec2023-November 2024. She was the worst. Coming from a shelter, I was grateful LYL Realty accepted the housing assistance I was offered until Odara became my landlord. Not being moved into the unit until March 2024 due to personal issues, I realized it was a serious mouse issue. I communicated efficiently and effectively! Well after bringing it to Odara’s attention she told me, me and my children brought the mice and suggested we were dirty. My family came from a shelter! The only thing we came into the unit with were the clothes on our back and 2 containers of clothes. Odara told me, I had to pay half for an exterminator on an existing problem. Mouse issue so bad, mice were swimming in my frying oil and one of my children were bitten by a mouse!. There was an issue where the window got busted and again, I efficiently and effectively communicated, provided a police report and all. After speaking to the officers they let me know, windows were getting busted out a lot in that area. After letting Odara know, she told me the event “seemed very targeted!”. Odara talked to me in a condescending, degrading, manner. Odara never spoke to me, she spoke over me instead of directly to me. Odara was not the ideal landlord. Just because I was coming from nothing, didn’t mean it gave you the right to treat me and my family as such. The same way you treat those women at those black realtor conferences, is the same way you treat people actually living and surviving in poverty. You took advantage of my stay in your unit and because I was under a program you knew you could get over. LYL take pride in who you hire and ensure they exemplify your work values, ethics, and business code of conduct.

Yesterday I called this company in reference to an advertisement for a rental that I had driven past. I left a voicemail because no one answered the line. I was a little confused because the line didn’t appear to be accurate considering that there was no greeting for the voicemail and this is supposed to be an actual business. Today, I received a call from A representative at this organization. I confirmed that I was the person that called yesterday about a property and wanted more information . Instead of the agent giving me information about the property and asking if I would like to view it , she’s steadily giving me the address and I expressed to her while I am currently driving and that I just wanted to get information on the property and possibly schedule view it. This woman acted as if I was actually bothering her and claimed that she has to get off the phone so I hung up. Needless to say, Philadelphia has some of the most pathetic and low-grade businesses that I have ever seen and I’ve lived all over this country, I wouldn’t rent a cage from that type of person. Theres too much competition to deal with ignorance
