Though signing this lease was a very quick and easy process (maybe too easy), Michael Sher made this experience an unforgettably horrible one. Two weeks in to living in our 1 bedroom apartment, we started seeing cockroaches. We immediately notified him and he blew us off for weeks. The issue worsened and worsened as the roaches grew bigger in size and quantity. Even when he sent an exterminator, who was really just his maintenance man and not a licensed professional, the roaches did not subside. We found roaches in places where no one should find them. We continued to live in this uninhabitable space hoping that there would be a resolution. Upon speaking to actual professionals, we learned that the only option was to have a full fumigation of the building (because there was clearly an infestation), which Michael Sher would not agree to. We finally asked to break our lease after only having lived there for three months. Luckily, Michael was understanding and let us break our lease with almost no issues. Most likely because he has run into this issue before with past tenants. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else!

Michael Sher of Pine Realty could not have been kinder or more helpful and accommodating when I first moved into our apartment. He even helped to receive our furniture and bring it up to to our apartment weeks before our arrival. Any issue I have he is always available and quick to respond. We enjoy the apartment, the people associated with it, and would highly recommend Michael Sher and Pine Realty.

It’s been a literal nightmare dealing with Pine Realty. From the day my girlfriend and I moved in there were already issues. The place wasn’t repainted at all windows had cracks in them and there was water damage on the ceiling in the bedroom. It took the building manager 5 days to come and make these changes and he lived in the same building. What made us terminate our lease was the scale of the roach infestation in the unit. I had to throw away a mattress and most of my clothes bc they were in everything. For a one bedroom loft in center city dealing with roaches should’ve been my last problem especially if I’m paying $1,100 a month. Michael Sher fought and argued with my girlfriend and I in order to get our money back and claimed to not have all of our payments in his records. Avoid doing business with Pine Realty or Michael Sher.

I loved the condo that I lived in! It was spacious, it had incredible sweeping views off the balcony, which I definitely took advantage of as a photographer. I'll never be able to get sunset photos like that again! The doormen for the building were very pleasant, and I never bad an occasion where I felt unsafe while living there. The location was second to none, everything being within walking distance, and plenty of food spots to partake in. The unit could've been slightly more modern, but overall, no complaints.

PLEASE save yourself from renting from Michael Sher. When we first moved in, the house was DISGUSTING. Both toilets clogged, food everywhere, sinks overflowing with algae water. Basement had piles and piles of moldy things stored??? The biggest issue was the SEVERE mouse infestation. HUNDREDS of mice. He sent maintenance men, one of whom said "I told Michael this wouldn't work but he wouldn't pay me to do anything more". They were EVERYWHERE. Mouse feces in our pantry and counters, they were chewing through all of our bags of food. Dead mice on our couch. We were watching tv and a line of mice ran in front of us. We deep cleaned and mopped the floor with peppermint castille soap every day, even though we were reminded to "keep clean and it'll keep the mice away" It's been 8 months and we still haven't gotten our security deposit back even though I still pester him about it frequently.
